Wentworth House Partnership was shortlisted for the BCIA temporary works award for this project.
We designed the perimeter four storey façade restraint scheme, using the in plane capacity of the masonry walls to restrain at the corners.
This scheme allowed the installation of the secant piles and bearing piles for the following stages.
Wentworth House Partnership also designed the restraint to the basement wall piles, and the needling and temporary props to support the façade above whilst four levels of basement were excavated below.
